Shangri-La Dialogue: Making defense policy in uncertain times

At least 20 defense ministers, including U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter attend the Shangri-La Dialogue, with territorial disputes in the South China Sea (Vietnam’s East Sea) being part of the agenda.


Shangri-la Dialogue is Asia's largest annual security forum. This year, it takes place in Singapore from June 3 to June 5.
