Four women were arrested in HCMC on Tuesday for allegedly setting a honeytrap for foreigners to steal from them.

Nguyen Minh Tu, 34, and her three accomplices, all transwomen, are in custody after police first caught two of them red-handed while fleeing after stealing a phone from a South Korean man three days earlier.

Tu and another woman had approached the man when he was drunk, offered him a massage and tried to make away with his phone.

Questioning them led the police to the other two.
