Trade winds would bring widespread rainfall on Thursday and Friday mostly over Hanoi and the northeast, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting said.
U.S. weather forecast service AccuWeather expects Hanoi to have temperatures of 25-35 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, and a maximum of 31 degrees on Thursday. It would get warmer toward the end of the week, it added.
Mountainous areas like Sa Pa will have temperatures of 16-23 degrees.
Central Vietnam will be sunny at the beginning of the week, with temperatures of 33-35 degrees. Starting Thursday areas between Thanh Hoa and Quang Ngai provinces should expect rains from a tropical convergence zone.
The southern and Central Highlands regions will also see rains in the coming days due to the southwest monsoon, mostly in the afternoon and evening.
Temperatures will be 28-31 degrees during the day in the Central Highlands, home to resort town Da Lat, and 32-33 degrees in the south.
