But Hanoi will not get any of the rain.
From July 4 to 8 the region from Thanh Hoa to Phu Yen in central Vietnam will see the sun beat down, taking temperatures to 35-38 degrees. The hottest period will be from July 4 to 6.
After July 8, due to the effects of a low-pressure area and a weakening Foehn wind, the central region will see rains return at dusk and temperatures drop.
The southern and the Central Highlands regions will have monsoon rains at dusk next week with frequent strong winds, thunder and lightning, which will continue through the month.
The northern and central regions will remain hot this month though the number of hot days will be lower than normal.
