Luu Thanh Nhan, vice chairman of the Nha Trang People's Committee, on Sunday said the three vendors had been summoned to verify the incident.
Earlier this month, a 30-year-old woman sold incenses to two Chinese tourists in Long Son Pagoda for VND10,000 (39 cents) per pack. The tourists gave the woman VND50,000, and the woman gave back VND40,000 as change. However, the tourists returned 15 minutes later demanding for more change, saying that they had given her VND500,000 instead.
The two parties then had a quarrel. Two mor people came to the side of the vendor, and a physical conflict happened between the two parties. Passersby tried to stop the fight, while others watched and recorded videos.
Nhan said authorities would collect evidence to verify on how much money the vendor received from the tourists. If sufficient evidence is gathered to prove that the vendor had received more money than she should have, she would be dealt with for public disruption.
