A man disguised as a customer was caught on camera snatching over 100 lottery tickets from a disabled street vendor in Ho Chi Minh City, sparking public outrage as the video went viral on social media.

Nguyen Trieu Tien, 24, was wearing a ride-hailing driver's jacket and face mask when he approached the victim on the evening of July 20 in Tang Nhon Phu Ward, Thu Duc.

With the engine still running, Tien asked to see the tickets, casually flipping through the bundle. Then, without warning, he hit the throttle and sped off with all of them, leaving the shocked vendor struggling to react.

The entire incident was caught on a nearby home's security camera. After the footage surfaced online, it quickly went viral and triggered a wave of public anger over the cruel act.

Police launched an investigation and identified Tien as the suspect. He was arrested on July 22 and is now being investigated for theft.
