Kinoshita, 40, who has 5.2 million followers on a social media platform, made the announcement on Feb. 1, months after returning from a seven-month hiatus, the South China Morning Post reported.
"My health has deteriorated over the years," Kinoshita said. "It's no problem to eat like a normal person, but I feel tired even when I'm not full. I'm afraid I cannot eat as much as before."
Following her announcement, social media users posted messages of support, thanking her for her past videos and wishing her good health.
"Your health is the most important. Thank you for your previous videos which are healing to me," one person said.
Kinoshita rose to prominence in 2009 when she appeared on the Japanese reality show "The Battle of Big Eaters".
She launched her online channel in 2014, featuring videos in which she consumed large quantities of food, such as hundreds of burgers or multiple kilograms of steak, News Island reported.
She briefly stopped uploading videos in early 2024, later explaining in August that she had been recovering from mental illness.
