In a statement sent to the city's authorities, Vinhomes JSC, founded by VinGroup as the largest commercial real estate developer in Vietnam, said it would transfer the two roads, D1 and D19, to the city to fulfill its responsibilities as tasked by the city eight years ago.
When approving Vinhomes Central Park residential area by the Saigon River in Binh Thanh District in 2015, the city assigned Vinhomes JSC to build roads and parks along the riverbank.
According to the city's Department of Natural Resources and Environment, after completing the project, the investor must transfer the riverside roads back to the city for public use.
Currently, the two roads are used as internal roads of Vinhomes Central Park and can only be accessed by residents there.
