HCMC fixes one meter distance rule at work

According to the regulations on Covid-19 prevention at production, trading establishments and industrial parks issued by the HCMC Department of Health, workers must have recovered from Covid-19 or had at least one Covid-19 vaccine shot, and employers must arrange a second shot of the same vaccine as the first.

Buses carrying workers must be disinfected after each ride, and drivers and assistants must be fully vaccinated.

To prevent infections from outside, all people entering and exiting a business’s premise must complete health declarations, have their body temperature checked and state specifically which department they need to visit.

Any staff with symptoms similar to those of Covid-19 must be tested immediately.

The workplace must be well ventilated, and disinfectants should be handy for people to clean their hands easily and regularly.

Production and business establishments organize meals for workers in shifts.

In the canteen, workers must sit in fixed positions and keep a distance of two meters. There must be partitions to separate each worker in the canteen and they must not sit across from each other.

The health department requires businesses to coordinate with local authorities to arrange and create conditions for workers to have a safe place to live, and for people working in the same department to stay in the same place so as to limit the spread of any infection.

After four months of social distancing at many levels, HCMC has allowed many industries to resume operations starting Oct. 1.
