The department revealed that this year's top bonus is 50% higher than last year's record. Across all business sectors, Tet bonuses have generally increased compared to last year, reflecting improved economic performance.
The Department of Industrial Relations and Wages noted that average Tet bonuses this year have risen by 5–7% year-on-year. The increase is attributed to a higher volume of orders and production expansion, particularly in FDI-driven localities such as Bac Giang, Bac Ninh and Da Nang.
This year's Tet holiday, marking the Lunar New Year, will span nine days, from Jan. 25 to Feb. 2.
Additional public holidays in 2025 include New Year's Day on Jan. 1, the Hung Kings Commemoration from April 5–7, the Reunification Day–Labor Day holiday from April 30 to May 4, and the National Day holiday from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.
