Foreign man stabbed to death in downtown HCMC

A 36-year-old foreign man was stabbed to death in HCMC's District 1 in a scuffle with another person on Tuesday.

Police of District 1 arrested the suspect the same day for murder, but their identity has yet to be announced.

Previously at noon, locals on Thai Van Lung Street saw two foreigners in a scuffle with a Vietnamese. Moments later, one of the foreigners was seen covering a chest wound with his hand, before falling onto the ground. He was bleeding profusely. The suspect ran away after the ordeal.

The foreigner was taken to the Saigon General Hospital, with doctors saying a sharp object was stabbed into his neck and went down his left chest. He later succumbed to his injuries.
