Nippon Express Vietnam's warehouse in the Lien Anh Industrial Park in Di An Town caught fire at around 6 a.m., and it began to spread rapidly as it contained flammable materials such as cloth.

Smoke billowed hundreds of meters, according to eyewitnesses.

The security personnel at the facility tried to put out the fire but in vain.

Firefighters arrived and it took until 8 a.m. to extinguish the blaze, which destroyed some 2,000 sq.m of the warehouse, which is situated around an hour away from Ho Chi Minh City.
