Of them, five won medals in Math and the rest for Science.
The students who won the top prize in Mathematics are Le Do Minh Duc from Archimedes Academy Secondary School, Nguyen Gia Tuan from Newton Grammar, Nguyen Phong Chau from Newton 5 Elementary School - Secondary School and Le Quang Vinh from Trung Vuong Junior Secondary School in Hanoi, and Kieu Uy Vu from Nguyen Trai Secondary School in Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to the gold medal, Duc and Tuan also won the "Best Exploration" award.
For Science, Dao Trong Cuong and Tran Huu Phuc from Newton Grammar and Dang Tuan Phong from Newton 5 Elementary School - Secondary School won gold.

In addition, 13 students brought home silvers and three won bronze medals.
Last year, Vietnam sent 24 students to the contest and they bagged three gold and 16 silver medals.
IMSO is an annual competition specifically for students under the age of 13.
This year’s edition was held by Indonesia in an online format from Nov. 17 to 19.
It gathered 300 students from 21 countries and territories.
Most Vietnamese contestants this year are sixth graders and only two of them are in fifth grade.
