The College Board, the organizer of the SAT, announced that it will contact test-takers in Hanoi who experienced errors during the exam on Saturday to discuss potential options, including the possibility of retaking the test.

Holly Stepp, communications director at the College Board, explained that some test-takers faced issues with the Bluebook application, which is used to take the SAT online. The error resulted in the tests being submitted before completion.

"College Board has identified the issue and has solutions in place for future tests," Stepp said.

Earlier on Saturday, hundreds of test-takers in Hanoi were interrupted by a system error, which left many with several unanswered questions.

The SAT, a standardized test commonly used by U.S. universities for admissions, includes Reading, Writing and Math sections. The total time for the test is 134 minutes, with 98 questions, and the maximum score is 1600. The exam is administered seven times a year in March, May, August, October, November and December.

In Vietnam, several schools have been using the SAT for university admissions over the past three years.
