Vietnam Aviation Academy has launched a new major that combines flight management, operations, and pilot training, with a tuition fee of VND3 billion (US$115,160) over 4–5 years, making it one of the most expensive degree programs in the country.

This marks the inaugural year for the program, which plans to admit 30 students and guarantees job placement upon graduation.

The training is conducted in collaboration with Bay Viet Flight Training JSC, a subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, as well as international partners from the Czech Republic, South Africa, and the United States, under a cooperative dual degree program.

Graduates will receive both a bachelor's degree in Flight Operations Management and an internationally recognized Commercial Pilot License (CPL), valid in Vietnam and abroad.

In addition to an academic test, applicants must pass a health exam for pilots and meet criteria concerning height, weight, appearance, communication skills, and background.

In addition to academic testing, applicants must pass a pilot-specific medical exam and meet requirements for height, weight, physical appearance, communication skills, and personal background.

The academy expects to enroll over 4,600 students this year, an increase of 1,100 from last year.
