How much do world's top business schools charge for tuition?

The world's top 10 business schools in 2025 are from the U.K., the U.S., and China, with tuition fees ranging from US$3,600 to US$62,000 per year.

According to the 2025 World University Rankings by Subject released by the Times Higher Education (THE) last month, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) topped the list of Business and Economics for the fourth time, despite being best known for its science and technology programs.

The University of Oxford ranked second, climbing four spots from last year, while Stanford University dropped one spot to third place.

Following closely is Peking University, which jumped four places. Another Chinese representative, Tsinghua University, made a leap from 10th place last year to 6th this year. Both universities are also the top-ranked institutions in Asia across all 11 ranked subject groups.

A new entrant in the top 10 compared to the previous ranking is the London School of Economics and Political Science which rose one spot. The remaining universities dropped between two and four positions.

Regarding tuition fees, the two Chinese universities charge the lowest—just over $3,600 per year. MIT has the highest tuition fee, nearly $62,000.

The THE Business and Economics Rankings are based on data from over 990 higher education institutions across 85 countries and territories. This year's ranking includes 990 institutions from 85 countries and territories. The ranking is based on 18 rigorous performance indicators, carefully tailored to reflect the distinctive qualities within the business and economics subject area.

The Business and Economics table assesses performance across three core disciplines: business and management, which covers strategic leadership, international business and organizational development; accounting and finance, which includes corporate finance, investment analysis and financial reporting; and economics and econometrics, which encompasses economic theory, quantitative methods and applied economics.

Vietnam has six universities featured in the rankings. The highest-ranked is the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, placed in the 301–400 group. Duy Tan University, Ton Duc Thang University, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi are ranked in the 601–800 group. Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City, and Ho Chi Minh City Open University are in the 801+ category.
