This recognition further affirms BUV's triple-level quality assurance model—National, Regional, and International.

The Quality Management Department of Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training has announced a list of 17 universities in Vietnam accredited by prestigious international quality assurance organizations and the British University Vietnam (BUV) is the only foreign-invested university recognized.

The ministry's endorsement ensures that international accreditations obtained by universities are fully valid in Vietnam, facilitating students' learning, research, and career development both domestically and internationally.

According to Article 51 of the Regulation on Quality Assurance for Higher Education Institutions, accreditation results serve as a basis to determine the quality, position, and reputation of a university, as well as for exercising autonomy and accountability.

This accreditation is also considered when authorities provide investment support, assign tasks, implement stratification, rank institutions, grant autonomy, and restructure the higher education network. The Ministry prioritizes investment and grants greater autonomy to institutions that meet the standards.

According to the ministry's list, BUV is the only university in Vietnam to be comprehensively accredited by the U.K.'s Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA). QAA is the U.K.'s official body for higher education quality assurance, applying a rigorous evaluation system based on 10 criteria widely adopted by top global universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

QAA assessments examine not only academic programs and teaching quality but also how universities manage internal quality assurance, support students, and drive continuous improvement. The evaluation requires evidence of strong connections between education and professional practice, as well as the ability to provide students with a holistic learning experience.

Being QAA-accredited means that BUV's academic programs, teaching staff, governance, and student services meet the same standards as universities in the U.K.

In addition to QAA, BUV has achieved a 5-star overall rating from QS Stars. Combined with the ministry's official recognition, these certifications confirm that BUV has successfully established its Triple Quality Assurance model, ensuring quality at National, Regional, and International levels.

BUV aims to provide access to a U.K.-standard learning environment in Vietnam while equipping students with the knowledge and skills to contribute to national development and strengthen Vietnam's position on the global stage. It is currently the only international university in Vietnam to offer bachelor's degrees directly awarded by five prestigious U.K. universities.

Located in Ecopark with a total investment of US$85 million up until now, BUV has the capacity to facilitate 5,500 students from Vietnam and abroad. The university emphasizes linking theory with practice, collaborating with more than 500 businesses to expand internship and employment opportunities. BUV is also pioneering in technology integration and innovation, particularly in AI for teaching and operations, drawing attention from global academic and innovation communities.

Recently, BUV received the Outstanding Educational Institution in AI Application award at AI4VN 2025, an event under the Ministry of Science and Technology. The university has also achieved international recognition, ranking in the Global Top 3 for Admissions Process at the Global Student Satisfaction Awards 2025, placing 43rd in Asia for its MBA program according to QS Rankings, and being named among the Top 9 globally for AI Innovation in Education at the EDUtech Asia Awards 2025.

As Vietnam accelerates digital transformation in education and expands cross-border cooperation, the presence of high-quality international universities like BUV demonstrates the country's ability to attract foreign investment and shows that Vietnam's higher education system is increasingly aligned with global standards.

BUV is the first university in Vietnam to earn a 5-star rating from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and the first in Vietnam and ASEAN to achieve global accreditation from the U.K.'s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)—two of the world's most prestigious education quality organizations. Combined with the Ministry's official recognition, these certifications affirm that BUV has successfully established its Triple Quality Assurance model—ensuring quality at National, Regional, and International levels. Its curriculum is carefully designed and regularly updated to reflect the latest industry trends, emphasizing the seamless integration of theory and practice. Additionally, 100% of BUV graduates secure employment or continue higher education within three months of graduation.
