On May 9, the education ministry issued a notice recognizing the value of foreign language certificates issued by foreign organizations in Vietnam, following two official documents issued in June 2023.
The Department of Quality Management's official dispatch on June 9, 2023, provided instructions for verifying foreign language proficiency certificates.
Another official dispatch dated June 15, 2023, also addressed the use of these certificates for exempting foreign language tests in the 2023 high school graduation exam.
The organization of grant examinations, when meeting quality assurance conditions, will continue to be used normally according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training on examinations, enrollment, and training without affecting the rights of grantees, the British Council says.
The British Council confirms that all IELTS and Aptis ESOL certificates issued in Vietnam are valid for all educational, occupational, and immigration purposes, both domestically and internationally.
It remains committed to maintaining the global quality of its testing activities in accordance with the standards set by the International Testing Council and the education ministry.
