Vinschool, the school system owned by Vietnam's riches billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, will borrow US$150 million from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and other foreign lenders to build more schools.

The management board of Vuong's Vingroup, Vietnam's largest private conglomerate, on Friday issued a resolution to use the company's assets to ensure the $150 million loan by Vinschool, its education branch.

Vinschool currently has over 54 facilities nationwide with 48,000 students. Tuition fees, spanning across different educational levels, can go up to VND207.2 million ($8,124) a year.

By the end of 2023, ADB has promised 458 loan packages, ODAs and technical support for Vietnam's public sector, totaling to $16.5 billion.
