Pansa Amarapitak, police chief of the Thong Lor station, said officers raided the party at the S31 Hotel in Watthana District at around 1:30 a.m., the Bangkok Post reported.
There were around 124 Thai and foreign men inside the room in their underwear, including some women. Several of them identified as gay, Pansa said.
The police said partygoers had to apply via a private social media group, and that a similar party had been thrown in the same hotel room from Friday night to Saturday morning. There were several drugs found inside the room at the time of the raid, and all participants had been brought in for narcotic tests.
Thirty one people, including a woman, was found to be possessing drugs. 66 others, including another woman, had consumed drugs. Tests also revealed that 27 people at the party had no drug residue in their urine.
Those who possessed drugs were detained, while those without drug residues in their urine were released. Those who had used drugs will be summoned for mandatory rehabilitation.
Among the attendees, many were revealed to be actors, former beauty parlor executives, doctors and celebrities. Among the foreigners at the party, one was Vietnamese, the Khaosod reported.
