Da Nang City will allow almost all production and service businesses to resume their normal activities from Oct. 16.

Restaurants and other eateries and cafes can have customers dining in, but at half their maximum capacity.

Indoor sports activities will resume, and gym and yoga centers, billiards clubs, barbershops, museums, cinemas, and cultural, arts and amusement venues will reopen.

But everyone must comply with the Ministry of Health’s Covid-19 prevention protocols, including wearing masks and keeping social distance, and all organizations and businesses must have QR code scanning devices to manage visitors’ information.

Tourism services will also resume, starting with local visitors, then those coming from localities where the Covid outbreak has been controlled and finally international tourists.

Secondary school students in Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District, will attend classes from Oct. 18 as the commune has reported no Covid cases so far in the current wave.

On Oct. 25 12th graders at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted in Son Tra District will also return to class.

The city’s plan now is to have all students return to school on Nov. 11.

It has yet to allow bars, spas, karaoke and massage parlors, beauty salons, and Internet cafes to reopen.

The city has gone 14 days without new cases.

It has administered at least one dose of vaccine to 95 percent of its populace aged 18-65.
