Two Chinese men have been arrested in the central city of Da Nang Friday for allegedly burgling several factories in June and July.

The police said Ban Wai Bing, 38, and Ban San Ke, 44, were part of a group of six Chinese nationals who illegally came to Vietnam to steal from factories, workshops and companies.

They admitted to stealing properties worth around VND1.6 billion ($69,173) from five places, they said.

The gang kept its tools in the Hai Van Pass, and would split into groups to carry out various tasks at midnight like retrieving the tools, scouting places and committing the burglaries.

After each burglary the men would escape on motorbikes in different directions and return to China for a while before coming back to Da Nang for the next job.

The police are looking for the other four members of the gang.
