Five of the recovered patients, aged 21-72, were treated at the Hoa Vang District Field Hospital, and the rest, aged 19-65, at the Da Nang Lung Hospital. They have tested negative for the novel coronavirus at least thrice.

Thursday saw no new Covid-19 cases, but an 83-year-old woman in Da Nang died of severe pneumonia and respiratory failure caused by Covid-19 at the Hoa Vang hospital. She also suffered from blood infection, doctors said.

Vietnam has recorded 1,046 Covid-19 cases and 35 deaths so far. All Covid-19 fatalities suffered underlying conditions like kidney failure, cancer and diabetes.
