Lu Yu Wen, a wanted Chinese man, was handed over to Chinese police on Thursday, while his four compatriots were deported for illegal entrance into Vietnam, according to the immigration management department of the police in the central province of Binh Dinh.
Lu told the police that he and his compatriots wanted to go to Vietnam to look for ways to go to Cambodia and Thailand next.
They gathered in China's Guangxi region on Oct. 30 and traveled to the Ban Gioc Waterfall scenic site at the Vietnam-China border. They were then guided by three Vietnamese to follow less-traveled paths, before getting on wooden rafts to cross rivers.
After entering Vietnam, Lu Yu Wen was driven by car through several localities. When the car reached Binh Dinh’s Phu My District, they were stopped by police.
