Vietnamese-Russian male model arrested for drug possession

Nhikolai Dinh, 29, a Vietnamese-Russian model in HCMC who once participated in Vietnam’s Next Top Model, and nine other people were arrested on Tuesday for possession of illegal narcotics.

Authorities recently discovered several strangers appearing at an alley on Nguyen Trai Street to purchase drugs. Police officers then ambushed the areas near the alley and arrested several people, including Dinh.

Dinh tested positive for drugs, and the police accused him of possessing drugs.

Police of District 1 also arrested the drug sellers, Trinh Thi Hoa, 55, along with her two sons Trinh Ba Hao, 35, and Trinh Ba Hoa, 33. Hoa rented several houses in Alley 263 of Nguyen Trai as places to live in and sell drugs.

Searches in several locations revealed drug packets hidden inside restrooms and other household objects.

Dinh participated in the modeling competition Vietnam’s Next Top Model in 2013. He has also participated in several catwalk shows and music videos.
