Two individuals from Hong Kong were arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand's Bangkok on Wednesday on suspicion of murder.

Yau Shu-Ko Enoch and Shimeobi Chinedu Nelson, both 21, are believed to have been involved in a deadly crime in Hong Kong earlier that day, according to Choengron Rimphadee, commander of the Immigration Bureau 2, as reported by the Bangkok Post.

The pair are thought to be connected to a knife attack in Yuen Long, Hong Kong, where a group of assailants targeted two men on Wang Yip Street West around 5:30 a.m.

One of the victims, a 24-year-old man, died from his injuries, according to the South China Morning Post.

The suspects, who had attempted to flee to Thailand, were detained after arriving on a Cathay Pacific flight at approximately 6:40 p.m. Authorities were tipped off by information from Interpol, and the suspects were intercepted by Thai officials, as detailed by Khaosod.

Hong Kong police brought the suspects back for further legal proceedings on Thursday, Choengron said.
