Singapore jails woman, 31, for livestreaming sex acts in public

Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, 31, and her Singaporean husband Adrian Ching Kah Siang, 36, were each sentenced to three weeks in prison on Thursday, SCMP reported.

Nguyen pleaded guilty to performing obscene acts in public, while Ching pleaded guilty for encouraging her, a local court heard.

Nguyen often livestreams on TikTok and a gaming application called MMlive. Heeding her viewers’ request for her to livestream sex acts in public, on Sept. 27 last year, Nguyen wore a see-through dress and sat at a void deck in the Boon Lay neighborhood. She then began to dance and perform obscene acts on camera. Ching, meanwhile, sat beside Nguyen to ensure there were no interruptions.

A man at the scene saw what happened and called his wife. The couple then recorded Nguyen’s acts and called the police. The police arrived at around 3 p.m. and arrested Nguyen, CNA reported.
