According to police in the central province’s Duc Tho District, at around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday the local man had visited the home of the woman in An Dung commune.
Seeing that no one was inside the house, he allegedly restrained the victim in the bedroom and assaulted her.
Hearing her cries for help, family members rushed in from outside.
Bao got up, dressed and fled, but the assault was recorded on a security camera.
By 8:00 p.m. the police captured the suspect, who had gone into hiding.
They said Bao had a previous conviction for theft and was only recently released from prison.
