Malaysia’s Immigration Department announced that authorities have arrested 164 illegal immigrants in a raid on an entertainment center in Jalan Loke Yew, Kuala Lumpur.

Four managers of the center were also detained on charges of recruiting and harboring these people.

Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department Director Wan Mohamed Saupee Wan Yusoff said the raid started at 11:45 p.m. on Friday and ended at 1:30 a.m. the next day. Those arrested were aged between 21 and 60.

The raid was conducted following two weeks of intelligence over complaints from the public about the entertainment center, which is located inside a shopping mall.

In another operation conducted at 10 p.m. on Jalan Bukit Bintang and Jalan Alor, Kuala Lumpur the same day, authorities arrested 17 foreigners for hawking in the area. The foreigners, aged between 20 and 30, will be taken to the detention center in Bukit Jalil.
