A South Korean man in Ho Chi Minh City has been arrested in connection with the suspected murder of a fellow compatriot during a drinking party on Monday, local police said.

The suspect is currently under investigation for murder, the HCMC police said.

The incident occurred early in the morning when a group of men were drinking on the pavement of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street in downtown District 3. A physical altercation broke out during the gathering, and the body of a Korean man was later discovered on the street, with blood covering his head.

Upon investigation, authorities determined that the victim had died from head injuries caused by a hard object. The police identified another Korean man as the suspect.

Following the altercation, the suspect fled to District 7 and then traveled to Binh Duong Province that borders HCMC, but was apprehended by authorities.
