Dutch man in Thailand arrested after stealing entire ATM in pickup truck

the man allegedly used tools to wrench the machine from its base in Khon Kaen on Sept. 21, instead of breaking into the cash vault inside the store, leaving drag marks across the floor before loading the bulky ATM onto his vehicle, according to Khaosod.

CCTV cameras captured the unusual heist, making it easy for officers to track the suspect down, Mothership reported.

Investigators said the theft took place hours after the man argued with his Thai wife about their struggling restaurant business. Frustrated, he stormed out of their home. His wife later told authorities she had no idea what he was planning until police called her with news of the arrest.

The man faces multiple charges, including theft and property damage.
