Philippine authorities have seized 29 kilograms of methamphetamine disguised as freeze-dried durian in a ₱197.2 million ($3.53 million) drug bust.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) carried out the operation late last week in Parañaque City, Metro Manila. The illicit drugs were found packed in aluminum foil bags labeled "freeze-dried durians," according to the Philippine News Agency.

Two suspects, identified as Jalil, 44, and Gracia, 36, were arrested during the sting. Undercover officers posed as buyers in a coordinated operation to confirm the suspects’ role in a large-scale drug trafficking network, Philstar reported.

Authorities said the suspects will face charges related to illegal drug trafficking.
