All public buses, private passenger buses and taxis will have to halt operation in a bid to contain Covid-19 from spreading further.
Nguyen Minh Hieu, deputy director of the provincial Department of Transport, said passenger buses from other localities that travel through Bac Ninh will not be allowed to drop off or pick up passengers in the province.
The province will set up Covid-19 checkpoints at all gateways to carry out medical inspections on people coming from other localities.
To facilitate business operations, the province, home to Samsung and Canon plants, still allows buses carrying workers and trucks carrying agriculture products, components and materials for production to move around.
By Thursday morning, Bac Ninh has recorded 361 Covid-19 cases at various clusters, including three different industrial parks, since the new wave broke out in Vietnam over three weeks ago.
The province, which has the second highest number of infections in the Covid wave, after Bac Giang's 618, has imposed social distancing order at various parts including its capital town.
