Five Chinese men and a Vietnamese woman were sentenced to prison in Da Nang for selling pornography online featuring underaged girls.

Zhuang Hui Min, Liu Xiao Wei, Jiang Deng Jun, and Dai Hong Xi received 7.5 years each for "engaging in sexual intercourse or other sexual activities with a person aged 13 to under 16" and "employment of a person under 16 for pornographic purposes." Fang Jun Jie was sentenced to two years and three months for "molestation of a person under 16."

The Vietnamese woman, Sam Thi Sen, 26, was sentenced to 10.5 years in jail for "employment of a person under 16 for pornographic purposes."

After finishing their jail terms, the Chinese men would be deported from Vietnam, Da Nang People’s Court said last week.

Min, 40, hired Sen as interpreter when visiting Vietnam on a tourist visa, at which time they became lovers. Min subsequently traveled to Da Nang to produce porn, with Sen renting him a house on Son Tra District’s Le Minh Trung Street.

Sen then sourced girls on Facebook with the promise of an easy, high-paying job. From February to September 2019, she managed to hire four women, coerced into the porn industry.

Sen told the women the videos would be posted onto a Chinese-only social media app. At first, they only recorded videos while removing their clothes, but later engaged in illicit activities with Wei and Jun, both 32.

The group paid the women VND700,000 ($30.85) for six hours of stripping, and VND1 million for each sexual engagement. The videos were sold to porn websites abroad, and could only be accessed through registered accounts, where money was sent to Chinese bank accounts.

In September 2019, with both Wei and Jun’s visas about to expire, Min hired Xi, 24, and Jie, 35, as new actors.

The family of one woman later discovered she had been coerced to produce porn, so they reported the incident to authority.

Police busted the group on Sept. 14.

Min was determined to be the ringleader of the group, police said.
