Chinese man loses part of intestine after 3-hour labor pain simulation at lover's request

The man was taken by his lover to a labor pain simulation center as a "test", SCMP reported.

The woman, from Henan Province, said on social media that her mother and sister thought her potential husband should experience women's challenges to ensure that he would treat his future wife well.

The simulation device utilizes electric currents, which affect the skin and muscle, to simulate pain during childbirth. The woman said the pain level would gradually rise over 90 minutes, and then remains at its peak for the duration of the session.

The woman said that her lover allegedly screamed at level 8, and by the end of the session he was gasping for breath. The man later showed symptoms like vomiting and abdominal pain, NetEase News reported.

He eventually had to be hospitalized a week later due to severe abdominal pain. A diagnosis revealed that a part of his intestine was severely damaged and it had to be removed.

The woman said her lover's family has canceled the engagement after the incident and was considering legal action. She added that she did not intend to hurt him, and was willing to take full responsibility for what happened.
