Car with decomposing body found in Vietnam reservoir

Locals going fishing of the Hoa Binh hydropower reservoir in Mai Chau District discovered the car below the water surface, situated around 5 m from the edge of the reservoir. Mai Chau police then brought the car onto land.

An inspection revealed that the car, with a Hoa Binh license plate, showed no sign of impact. There were also no abnormal signs at the site.

Police of Mai Chau had verified the identity of the body inside the car to be a person from Son La Province, around 200 km from Hoa Binh, who left home on Nov. 26. Their loved ones had tried to find them on social media, but did not report the matter to authorities.
