The majority of universities on the list have achieved educational quality standards as assessed by the High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (HCERES) in France.

BUV is the only university in Vietnam to have received comprehensive accreditation from the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) in the United Kingdom.

The QAA employs an evaluation framework based on ten stringent criteria, adopted by leading global universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE)...

Professor Raymond Gordon, Vice-chancellor and President of BUV, emphasized that achieving QAA accreditation is not merely a recognition of the university's current standards but affirms its long-term commitment to embedding international best practices in higher education within Vietnam.

"This accreditation aligns with our vision to contribute to the development of a globally competitive workforce and to elevate educational standards across the nation for years to come," said Raymond.

According to Article 51 of the Regulations on Accreditation of Higher Education Universities, the outcomes of educational quality assessments serve as a basis for determining the quality, status, and reputation of higher education universities, as well as for exercising institutional autonomy and accountability.

This criterion is used by relevant authorities to guide decisions on investment support, task allocation, institutional stratification and ranking, autonomy grants, and the restructuring of the educational network.

Universities meeting these standards will be prioritized for development investments and granted enhanced autonomy by the authorities.
