At 9 a.m., Xoan, 49, was making tofu in front of a three-story house when there was an explosion. Xoan’s son, 25, died on the spot. Xoan and a 48-year-old neighbor were injured by the blast, local authorities said.
The tofu-producing facility had its roof blown off, with objects scattering around. The front of the house on the first and second floors also collapsed, with two nearby houses also damaged by the blast.
An investigation is ongoing.
