Flames and smoke began to pour out of the store, also a house, in Tien Du District at around 4:30 a.m. Officials reported that the blaze started on the first floor, where electric bikes are sold, and quickly spread to the upper floors, which serve as living spaces. At the time of the fire, six individuals were inside the building.

Despite attempts by neighbors to alert the occupants and douse the flames, the fire rapidly engulfed the property. While five of the residents managed to escape unharmed, one woman re-entered the burning building believing another person was trapped inside. She did not survive.
Firefighting and rescue teams arrived promptly and extinguished the fire by 5:30 a.m. The body of the 35-year-old woman was also discovered.
An investigation is currently underway to determine the cause of the fire.
