An Australian man has been charged with harassment after allegedly threatening that he would crash a Jetstar plane at Singapore's Changi airport.

Marli Curtis Philip Moncrieff, 36, was boarding a Jetstar Australia flight from Singapore to Perth on Nov. 20 when a crew member allegedly heard him saying he wanted the plane to crash and kill everyone on board, CNA reported.

He was removed from the flight and taken to a holding room, where he said similar things, the police said on Dec. 8. He allegedly said that if he is put on another plane, he would tell the pilot that he would crash it, The Straits Times reported.

Marli was charged with two harassment counts by a Singaporean court on Dec. 9, and is expected to plead guilty on Dec. 18.

Each count of harassment may result in a fine going up to S$5,000 ($3,730).
