Australian man robbed after inviting woman from Pattaya beach to hotel room

According to The Bangkok Post, the man, who uses a wheelchair, was found around 1 a.m. on May 8 by Pattaya Civil Defense Volunteers after he was seen shouting for help along the beachfront. He claimed the woman had stolen 11,400 baht (US$335) from him after briefly returning with him to his room.

The man told police he had met the woman earlier that night on Pattaya beach and invited her to his accommodation. He said she vanished after he took a bath, and when he emerged, he discovered his cash was missing, Thaiger reported.

He returned to the beach in his wheelchair to search for her but was unsuccessful. Authorities have since launched an investigation to identify and locate the suspect.
