AFF Cup: Vietnam 0 - 0 Myanmar

The AFF Cup run resumes for Vietnam on an away game against Myanmar.

The game ended 0-0 after three additional minutes for the second half.

In 90', Nguyen Anh Duc was fouled just outside the box and Vietnam was granted a free kick. But Nguyen Quang Hai missed the target.

In 89', Myanmar missed from a header.

In 77', after a shot outside the box, Nguyen Van Toan got a tap in, but he was offside.

In 75', Nguyen Cong Phuong fell in the box, but there was no penalty for Vietnam. He was then replaced by Nguyen Van Toan.

In 64', Nguyen Cong Phuong took another shot, and he missed again.

In 63', Myanmar's Lwin Moe Aung was penalized with a yellow card for touching the ball.

In 52', Myanmar goalkeeper saved two consecutive shots from Vietnam.

In 49', Nguyen Trong Hoang got his first shot right after he was subbed in, but it could not defeat Myanmar goalkeeper.

After the break, Vietnam made two replacements.

After one additional minute, the first half ended without any goals from either team.

In 44', Vietnam received a yellow card for a foul. Myanmar got a free kick but it was lack of accuracy.

In 37', Nguyen Quang Hai shot from a corner and it was saved by Myanmar goalkeeper.

Vietnam is constantly on the offense.

In 36', from an attack, Phan Van Duc took a shot but unfortunately he hit the post.

In 31', Vietnam took another corner. This time Nguyen Anh Duc got his head on the ball but it went through the bar.

In 28', Phan Van Duc took a shot in the box and it went out for a corner, which was unsuccessful. From the corner, Nguyen Anh Duc tried to get a header but he missed the ball.

In 24', Myanmar answered with a long shot but it wasn't a challenge for goalkeeper Dang Van Lam.

In 19', Vietnam's Nguyen Cong Phuong tried his luck by a shot from outside the box but didn't succeed.

Myanmar had more possession in the first 10 minutes of the game, but no serious attacks have been launched from either side.

Vietnam wear white and Myanmar red as the game started at 6:30 p.m.

The game is held at Thuwunna Stadium, Yangon, Myanmar. 

In five previous games against Myanmar throughout the history of AFF Cup, Vietnam won four, draw one, scored 18 goals and only conceded six goals.

Vietnam now stands second position in group A with six points from two games. Opponents Myanmar top the table with better goal stats after winning their first two games against Laos and Cambodia.

Coach Park Hang-seo said Myanmar is a strong opponent and the game will be difficult. His colleague Antoine Hey has aimed for a win.

Hours before the game, many Vietnamese fans lined up outside the stadium in Yangon.
