In Da Nang, Vietnam’s biggest Covid-19 hotspot, six were treated at the Da Nang Hospital for Lung Disease and eight at Hoa Vang District’s Medical Center. All tested negative for the novel coronavirus at least thrice. Among them were two medical staff and a 20-month-old baby.
The remaining four, aged between 6 and 90, were treated at Quang Nam Central General Hospital in Quang Nam Province. The 90-year-old man, "Patient 525", was admitted to the hospital on July 31 as a severe case suffering underlying cardiovascular disease.
All will continue to be monitored during 14-day home quarantine as per Health Ministry regulations.
Vietnam’s Covid-19 tally now stands at 1,049 with 206 active cases, and 35 fatalities.
