3 Vietnam universities among Asia's 500 best: Times Higher Education

The Vietnam National University (VNU) in Hanoi, its counterpart in HCMC and the Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST) made the 2021 Asia University Rankings announced Wednesday.

The VNU in Hanoi was ranked 251-300, a decline from last year's ranking of 201-250.

HUST also fell from 251-300 to 351-400, but the VNU in HCMC maintained its 401+ ranking.

This year's rankings include 551 schools in 30 countries and territories, an increase of 50 from last year.

But the top four universities remained unchanged from last year: China's Tsinghua and Peking universities, the National University of Singapore and the University of Hong Kong.

Times Higher Education is a U.K. magazine specializing in higher education and known for its annual World University Rankings and others.
