An 11-year-old boy in Long An Province crashed his bicycle and was left scraped and bruised while chasing a woman who had snatched 140 lottery tickets and sped off on a motorbike.

Police in Duc Hoa Commune said on Oct. 8 they are reviewing security camera footage to track down the suspect.

Security camera footage shows a boy chasing after a woman who had snatched his 140 lottery tickets in Long An Province.

Investigators said the boy was going around to sell 140 lottery tickets at around noon on Oct. 7.

When he reached a road in Duc Hoa Commune, a masked woman stopped on a motorbike and asked to buy tickets. While flipping through the stack, she told him: "My family has an electric bicycle for you. Follow me and I'll give it to you."

Believing her, the boy was about to follow when she suddenly sped off with the entire stack.

Security cameras later showed the child pedaling after her before falling hard to the ground, crying as his arms and legs were scratched and bruised.

His mother reported the incident to local police, who are continuing the search.
