The TikTok account of South Korean online media outlet Dispatch, with over 26 million likes, has featured many Vietnamese songs in recent videos.

Earlier this week, it posted a video of singer Ha Sung Woon, using the Vietnamese song "Mot Thoi Da Xa" (A Long Time Ago) as background music. The video has garnered more than 82,000 likes and 9,000 comments.

Many Vietnamese netizens are excited that a song popular 22 years ago is now used by the popular South Korean online media outlet.

Recently, Vietnamese songs like "Cu Chill Thoi" (Just Chill) by boyband Chillies, "Hay Trao Cho Anh" (Give It To Me) by Son Tung M-TP, and "2 Phut Hon" (Over Two Minutes) by rapper Phao also cooked up a storm on Chinese social media app Douyin, a domestic version of TikTok in China.
