Red carpet awash with celebs attending 2021 Vietnam Int’l Fashion Week

Vietnamese celebrities came out in style on the opening night of Vietnam International Fashion Week after it got postponed due to Covid.

The collection marks the opening of the Vietnam International Fashion Week in Ho Chi Minh City on Dec. 21. Tuan is well known for women’s ready-to-wear designs which were introduced at multiple fashion shows at home and abroad.

Model Vu Thu Phuong wears outfits inspired by traditional Vietnamese clothes on the red carpet.  According to Le Thi Quynh Trang, president of the fashion week, the event, theming Shining Life, will bring hope and optimism to everyone. It’s time for us to be together to help the Vietnamese fashion industry, which has been negatively affected by the pandemic, to overcome tough times. I believe Vietnamese fashion will revive strongly, Trang said.

Model Vu Thu Phuong wears outfits inspired by traditional Vietnamese style. According to Le Thi Quynh Trang, president of the fashion week, the event, themed "Shining Life," will bring hope and optimism to attendees.
"It’s time for us tostandtogether to help the Vietnamese fashion industry, which has been negatively affected by the pandemic, to overcome tough times. I believe Vietnamese fashion will revive strongly," Trang said.

Model Phuong Anh chooses a nude off-the-shoulder gown and face shield for her red carpet look. The fashion week was supposed to take place at a venue in District 1, but the place has been used as a quarantine facility for Covid patients.  Organizers later changed their location to a new venue in District 3.

The fashion event will include charity auctions for designs to raise funds for providing medical supplies to Covid-19 treatment facilities and supporting needy people and children orphaned by Covid-19 in HCMC.The Vietnam International Fashion Week was first held in 2014, and quickly became the leading fashion event in ASEAN.
