A two-segment house on a small lake in Dak Lak Province looks like a locomotive from a distance.

This special design of this single-storied house, which has a total floor area of 105-square-meters, is accentuated when it is reflected in the lake at sunset.

The stone walkway leading to the front porch gives the locomotive house the tracks it needs. The house was designed by Le Thanh Binh and his colleagues at BL Architects.

The white paint, triangular wall and roof give the house a modern look and youthful feel.

Since the house faces the west, it has double walls and white paint to keep out the afternoon heat.

Wooden furniture is used inside the bedroom and throughout the house. The living room also includes the kitchen and dining space, keeping the family close together.

The wooden dining table is placed by the window, allowing the family to eat close to nature. A profusion of windows around the building gives it plenty of natural light and breeze.
