After a period of social distancing, when was the last time you sat down for a soulful cocktail with friends and unwound at your favorite bar?

Or are you a "cocktail nerd" and on a bar-hopping mission to explore the mixology world?

Mastercard and Vietcetera is bringing Vietnam Bar Week 2022 your way.

Vietnam's bar scene on the rise

Vietnam’s F&B scene is on the rise and gaining international attention. Changing demand to create deeper connections and the urge for a healthier lifestyle have facilitated the switch among Vietnamese, especially the young, to a new and rapidly rising trend: the cocktail culture.

Cocktails today have become must-have companions and a never-ending topic for conversation in casual and friendly gatherings. For any gourmets constantly on the search for an amazing culinary experience, there’s no better option than slowly sipping an impeccable cocktail prepared by a renowned mixologist and savoring each layer of flavors perfectly combined.

It gets even better with the addition of great atmosphere, good music and a sense of intimacy and comfort. Unlike nearly a decade prior, when denizens of Vietnam's capital could only enjoy a cocktail in a fine dining hotel and restaurant, youngsters today could easily find a cocktail house of different scale, theme and expertise thanks to emerging culinary and mixology destinations.

Vietnam's bar scene today is a machine of bursting flavor, talent and innovation.

The curated gastronomic event lasts a week, from April 9 to 17, following Vietnam Restaurant Week - another culinary activity under Flavors Vietnam 2022 that presented dining experiences at Vietnam’s best of best.

Similar to Restaurant Week, foodies are encouraged to explore the culinary map of 40 shortlisted bars and mixologies and collect 10 stickers from both activities and win a special photobook from the program, successfully concluding their culinary journey with Flavors Vietnam.

The gastronomic festival was kicked off in early January this year, in recognition of the Vietnamese F&B sector’s perseverance in taking its rightful place on the global culinary map. The third and grandest ever Flavors Vietnam this year also marks the commencement of Mastercard’s bigger campaign "Make a Priceless Moment with Mastercard", in an effort to extend its award-winning Priceless platform to the Vietnam market.

Vietnam is witnessing growth in the F&B space post social distancing restrictions, with many ongoing culinary activities that drive average expenditure for the food service industry higher than some other countries in APAC, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand.

In such a diverse market where the love for food has become the universal language, Mastercard chooses cuisine to be the natural leading passion point for the brand's first-ever establishment of their "Make a Priceless Moment with Mastercard" campaign under the global Priceless agenda, serving as the underpinning for bringing people and communities together.

Following its long-standing commitment to fuel and enable passion, Mastercard is going an extra mile to connect people over a shared passion for food and the distinctive taste in Vietnamese cuisine, and in doing so, create special and "priceless" moments in life with their loved ones.

Throughout Flavors Vietnam 2022, passionate foodies have been introduced to a series of exclusive and unforgettable gastronomic experiences at selected restaurants and bars featured in Vietnam Restaurant Week and Bar Week, provided by the country's leading culinary and mixology experts. Furthermore, Mastercard cardholders have exclusive access to a selection of curated offers, spanning culinary and travel from the Mastercard Priceless Specials platform, uniquely crafted for Vietnam.
