The organizer of online beatboxing competition International Throwdown has named Nguyen Bao Trung as one of the judges for the new season.

The 23-year-old, stage name Trung Bao, shared a social media post from Beatboxing, the organizer, on his personal page on Wednesday.

The winner of the 2017 World Beatbox Camp will be joined by Colaps, a former winner of the French Beatbox Championship, and two times German Beatbox Championship winner Madox.

The competition will be held on group-chatting platform Discord on July 10.

Contestants will submit their performances online and the top 32 will be selected through a community poll. From that list, the three judges will select the 16 best and then determine the final winner.

The first place winner will get a cash prize of US$1,700, and second and third place winners will get $1,200 and $1,000.

This will be Trung’s second season as judge after debuting last year when over 200 beatboxers from all over the world contested.

He began beatboxing at the age of 13 after watching a video his brother showed him, and learned it through online tutorials. He won the Solo Battle of WBC in 2017 in Poland and has been a regular participant in many of the world's biggest events.
